5th STAGE GIRO DONNE “CARPI – REGGIO EMILIA”

After “Cesena - Cesena” which saw the victory of Annemiek van Vleuten (MOVISTAR TEAM WOMEN), new Pink Jersey, today Tuesday 5th July the challenges in Emilia-Romagna end with 126.1 km of the “Carpi - Reggio Emilia” stage.

The trial is 120.9 km long, starting and ending in Cesena, with the finish line right next to the evocative Parco della Rimembranza (Remembrance Park) surrounding the Rocca Malatestiana (Malatestian Stronghold).

Traveling Italy by bicycle is one of the best ways to get to know it and during the nine days of competition the athletes will travel through Tuscany, Emilia Romagna, Piemonte, Liguria and Sardegna.
