ANNEMIEK VAN VLEUTEN STRIKES AGAIN
We applauded her yesterday on the ramps of Canelli, today Annemiek Van Vleuten (Movistar Team) struck again, dominating the seventh stage, her third victory in this edition. The final climb was decisive for the pink jersey, where she pulled ahead of Juliette Labous (Team DSM) and Gaia Realini (Lidl Trek).

The European champion Lorena Wiebes (Sd Worx) won the first sprint of Giro Donne 2023 confirming herself as the best sprinter and also the one equipped with the best group sprint.

Due to the storm with hail, flashes and impassable roads (water, mud and stones), the 1st stage of Giro Donne has Benn initially interrupted and later cancelled. The decision was take jointly bu the Direction of the organization, the Commisaries’ Panel, the CPA and the rappresentative of the teams (TEAM JAYCO ALULA).
