BEST ATHLETES IN WOMEN’S CYCLING WORLDWIDE GATHER TOGETHER IN ITALY
Giro Donne 2023, the most prestigious Italian stage competition in the international women’s cycling scene, returns to venture into the Peninsula in its 34th edition.
A competition starting from Chianciano Terme (SI) on Friday, June 30th and ending in Olbia (SS) on Sunday, July 9th, after crossing some of the most beautiful landscapes of our country, all thanks to the commitment and hard work of PMG Sport/Starlight, who manages and coordinates the entire organization of the event for the third consecutive year.
The starting line awaits 168 athletes belonging to the top 24 teams in the world.
On the front row, 15 formations of UCI Women’s World Team hailing from Italy, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, France, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Spain, the United States and Switzerland, with over 160 athletes challenging each other and themselves in an exciting race divided into 9 stages, along a path of about 928 km, boasting a high technical, historical, touristic and naturalistic value.
Tens of thousands of fans and spectators from the geographical areas involved in the competition are ready to follow and support the athletes in their race towards the finish line, in a morphologically rich and diverse itinerary across sea and mountains, hills and lakes, rivers and cities of art.
