Giro d’Italia Donne 2023 starts on 30th June in Chianciano Terme
with World Champion Annemiek Van Vleuten and European Champion Lorena Wiebes

9 days to go for Giro d’Italia Donne 2023 wich starts from Chianciano Terme on the next June 30th. The Pink ride will across Tuscany, Emilia Romagna, Piemonte and Liguria, the great finale will staged in Sardinia on sunday 9th July.

There’ll be 24 teams with the best riders from all the world, great names who will battle for stages and gc victory. The world champion Annemiek Van Vleuten (Movistar Team Women) will be at the start of Giro donne for the last dance for pink, she’ll retire from professional cycling at the end of the season. For the sprint stages all eyes on the European Champion Lorena Wiebes who has already won two stages in Giro Donne 2021.

Throught the registered athletes there are Mavi Garcia (Liv Racing Tfind), 3 rd last year in the gc, the winner of Queen Stage in Maniva, Juliette Labous (Team Dsm Women) and the danish Cecile Utrupp Ludwig (Fdj Suez). The Hungarian champion Kata Blanka Vas and Niahm Fisher Black have just ended Tour de Suisse Women with a stage winner each one.

Elisa Longo Borghini (Trek Segafredo) ha just finished Tour de Suisse Women 3rd in the Gc, she is one of the most important italian rider. Her teamate Gaia Realini has been the surprise of last edition of pink race, now back with an incredible internationl team. Marta Cavalli has recently won tour feminin, last year finished giro donne 2nd in the gc. Other great italian riders starts giro donne: Soraya Paladin (Canyon Sram), Alessia Vigilia (Top Girls Fassa Bortolo) the track champions Rachele Barbieri (Liv Rcing) and Silvia Zanardi, Uae Team Adq riders Chiara Consonni, Silvia Persico and Eleonora Camilla Gasparrini. Eleonora has recently won the 3rd stage of Tour de Suisse Women. Marta Bastianelli (Uae Team Adq) ends his professional carreer at Giro Donne.
