GIRO DONNE KICKS OFF: 10 DAYS OF GREAT SPORT WITH THE BEST OF WORLD-WIDE WOMEN’S CYCLING ON THE ROADS OF ITALY

-2 days to the most important cycling event for women: Giro Donne kick-starts on Thursday 30th June 2022 from Cagliari. This great sporting competition in 10 stages will bring 144 athletes from the best 24 teams world-wide on Italian roads for 10 days with its grand finale in Padua. A long, exciting journey across 1000 km through Sardinia, Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy, Trentino-Alto Adige and Veneto.

Reggio Emilia, June 22nd, 2022 - Giro Donne, the most prestigious competition in stages in the female cycling scene, is scheduled from June 30th to July 10th 2022. After the announcement and assignment of the Pink Jersey to UNHCR, the competition finalizes the assignment of the other 4 jerseys for the 33rd edition.

GIRO DONNE GIVES THE 2022 PINK JERSEY TO UNHCR

The official handover of the 2022 Giro Donne Pink Jersey to UNHCR will take place on Monday 20 June Reggio Emilia, 10 June 2022 - In the spirit of solidarity and peace, Giro Donne chooses to donate the 2022 Pink Jersey to UNHCR A partnership that combines sport and solidarity and which expresses the closeness of PMG Sport / Starlight to the activity of the UN Refugee Agency, twice awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, present in 135 countries and committed with 100 million of people, mostly women and children.

Traveling Italy by bicycle is one of the best ways to get to know it and during the nine days of competition the athletes will travel through Tuscany, Emilia Romagna, Piemonte, Liguria and Sardegna.
