A global distribution never seen before and the exclusive live broadcast of the last 15 km of the race: great news for the 32nd edition of the most prestigious women’s cycling event that is renewed in its name and organization.
144 athletes from the best 24 teams in the world will compete in a race that is over 1,000 km-long and that goes through Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia

With a global distribution in 5 continents and the new the live broadcast of the last kilometers of the race, on Friday 2 July at 2 pm with a team time trial from Fossano to Cuneo, the 32nd edition of the Giro d’Italia Donne begins. A great sporting event in 10 stages that until Sunday 11 July will see 144 athletes from the best 24 teams in the world compete for the Maglia Rosa 2021, including the 9 teams of the UCI Women’s World Team, on a route of 1,022 km through the scenic and artistic beauty of Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

The most prestigious competition in women’s cycling, which will return to the UCI Women’s World Tour from 2022, is presented at the starting line completely renewed in its name and organization, organized this year by PMG Sport/Starlight which has coordinated TV and online distribution in 200 countries around the world, thanks to the collaboration with ASG (Athletic Sports Group) and the important agreement with Eurosport.

For the first time in its history, the last 15 km of each stage of the Giro d’Italia Donne can be followed live every day (with a variable start time between 2.15 pm and 3.15 pm depending on the stages) on the PMG Sport channels, i.e., www.pmgsport.it, www.facebook.com/PMGSportLive/, www.instagram.com/pmgsportlive/, www.youtube.com/channel/UCCuNpZUFKAaQIlyLt5-bp_g, on www.giroditaliadonne.it, www.repubblica.it , www.tuttobiciweb.it, throughout Europe on Eurosport Player and on Global Cycling Network (GCN) which covers 190 countries in the world. A live show of about an hour with the highlights of the stage, ranking updates, comments from guests in the studio, and the finish line with the award ceremony and the first interviews with the winning athletes.

In addition to that, a format will be produced with the best of each stage in 50 minutes which will be broadcast on TV in Italy on Rai Sport HD, in the evening at variable times, and on Eurosport 1 and online on tg.la7.it and on Bwin TV, media partner of the event together with Corriere dello Sport – Stadio and Tuttosport. The 50 minutes will also be distributed in simulcast (TV and digital) throughout Latin America thanks to Claro TV, in the UK on the BBC, in Australia on SBS TV, in New Zealand on Spark Sport, in South Africa on SABC Sport, in The Netherlands on NOS TV, in Romania on SportExtra, while in Asia it will be broadcast on TV in 69 countries by Eurosport. In Italy, Rai2 will broadcast a 10-minute summary during Tour Replay.

The first official event of the Giro d’Italia Donne 2021 will be in Cuneo, Thursday 1 July, from 6.30 pm, when the 24 competing teams will be presented.
